ABOUT ME:
How did you get started in this industry?
I got into the industry my last semester of art school, where I took a theater makeup class that had me pursuing a career in special effects makeup. Upon entering cosmetology school, I really connected with the sculptural aspects of barbering. While I still work seasonally creating zombies, barbering has become my year-round career focus.
Dream location / place to live?
I’d love to live in Dublin for the whiskey and the rocky beaches a short train ride a way, or in Salem, Massachusetts for the history and the trees in the fall.
Who/what inspires you?
I’m inspired by the power of transformation. I love the feeling of getting to create something new or helping someone see themselves in a new light.

ABOUT ME:
How would you describe your style: I appreciate classic and timeless styles. I love simplicity and elegance. There is something about jeans and a white t-shirt, a perfectly fitted suit, and the beauty of that little black dress. Even with the numerous tattoos, I would like to believe I am quintessentially a gentleman.
How did you get started in the industry? I came to this industry late in life. After many years and much money spent on my education I found myself in a safe and stable career but decided that "a ship in harbor is safe...and that isn't what they are built for" and took the leap. I am loving this era of redefinition and discovery.
After two tours in the Pacific theatre, during WWII, my grandfather returned home to become a small-town barber for over 50 years. Many personal and serendipitous life events culminated in my selection of this artistic and customer-service driven noble profession.
Who/what inspires you?
I am inspired by people who are learners and push themselves to go that distance from good to great.
I am inspired to loyalty by people who are both kind and supportive while simultaneously being brave enough to tell you where you need improvement.
I am inspired by the sound of the clippers, the warmth of the lather, the fragrance of aftershave and overall by the masculine romance and allure of a traditional barber shop like that which is embodied here at Franco's.
